I was recently challenged to identify where I would like to develop myself.

I decided to teach myself how to build a web site and this web site is the result.

To achieve the presence of a web site on the internet I had to acquire a domain name.

I decided on a .co.uk domain as they are much cheaper than .com domains, £2.99 p.a. against £9.99 p.a.

Once the domain is acquired I had to configure the domain to redirect to my homepage where I have free web space with my internet service provider.

I built my wed site learning, how to create pages, text, backgrounds,web album, links between pages etc.

Having created the web site this had to be uploaded into my web space via File Transfer Protocol.

I found a good free program to do this, CoffeCup Free FTP and found it easy to learn and upload the web pages.

Now I can create and upload a web site.
